46 days and counting down…

each time i open my runkeeper account, i can see the countdown doesn’t stop…

how’s the training going? so far, as of today, i only did a measly 74 kms since i began my training plan 5 weeks ago.. blame it on the rain, hehe,, we’ve been having wet climate for about 3 out of 5 weeks, and it really sucks.. that’s why each time the weather improves i always feel the push to go out but sometimes situations just do not put me in the mood to go hit the road. plus, my favorite running buddy will be running the full marathon that she joined the running group that trains for it. so most of the time, i ran alone. i didn’t join any run groups just because i thought i can do it on my own…

SUMMARYi still stick with my original train plan, and so far so good. i am confident i will have a good finish time on race day. i have upped my pace a little bit so am happy about it.. i finished my first half last year at 2:28 and this time,, maybe going for 2:15 will be really good for me,, but we don’t know how it’s going to be…

life goals are almost similar with running goals, except that, in running, we use our timers to see how much we have accomplished, in life, there is no instrument or gadget to see whether we have improved or not, unlike the runkeeper, where it shows our pace, the hurdles i.e. the elevations, distance and even pulse rates, there are no apps such as “life-keeper” to record our mistakes or our achievements, no record of where we have failed…. we can only remember, and use those to better ourselves. so what is similar between the two is that, there are goals that we set, check if they are doable, we train for it, and then go slow or go fast until we meet them, through hurdles and aches and pains.

for now, i will just run and do the best i can, and same goes too with my life…

Proverbs 19:21 โ€œMany are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the LORD that will stand.โ€
